This is me at my home in the Bay Area before I came out to New Orleans. I had no idea what I was in store for. After a great drive from California to Louisiana, I settled in the Big Easy. Along the way, I passed the Pacific Ocean, the Mojave desert, Las Vegas, the awe-inspiring red rock National Parks of southern Utah, the Colorado Rocky Mountains, the great plains, northeast Texas, and finally the Mississippi River, the Bayou, and the Gulf Coast. I arrived in the South ready to experience a new life. Within my first week of living in New Orleans, I had seen more thunderstorms then I had in my prior 22 years. I realized that I wasn't in California anymore!
